Can LED strip lights get wet?
The standard for waterproof LED Strip Lights is IP65, which is a coating of silicone gel. These strip lights can withstand partial exposure to liquid, including splashes, jets and condensation. This makes them ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms where the presence of plumbing and water outlets is a risk.
Do you need special LED lights for bathroom?
Outside these zones (the white areas) any light fittings are fine to use. So in a nutshell – when you’re installing lights in showers and in the zones 0 and 1 close to baths and sinks you need the specialist bathroom lights with the relevant IP ratings (e.g. sunken LED lights.)
Can you put LED lights in the shower?
It will fit, BUT LED bulbs can only go into the proper type of fixture, rated for water. It is not recommended to put them into the typical closed shower fixture unless the fixture is rated for LED.
What color LED light is best for bathroom?
As a rough guideline, bulbs labeled “daylight,” which generally have a color temperature of 5000K to 6500K, or bulbs labeled “cool white” or “bright white,” with a color temperature of 3500K to 4100K are best for the bathroom.
