What do you call in the set of material to make a bulb light up?
The filament is the thin wire you see in the middle of the light bulb, held up by a glass mount. All of this exists within a glass bulb filled with an inert gas, such as argon. When a light bulb connects to an electrical power supply, an electrical current flows from one metal contact to the other.
What is the difference between E11 and E12 bulbs?
E11 (mini candelabra) is 11mm in diameter and is a bit smaller than E12 (candelabra) which is 12mm in diameter. E11’s are most commonly used for small, halogen (hot!) bulbs and E12’s for decorative lights.
